Black Oak Athletics, organisers of the National Basketball Invitational, believe in leveraging sports to build community, empower local athletes and create career opportunities in Africa.

The National Basketball Invitational is an annual showcase of the best basketball talent in Ghana and/or neighbouring countries. The two (2) day event features exciting games and curated fan experiences.

The Invitational aims to nurture Ghana’s passion for the game of basketball through exciting experiences.

We believe in using basketball as a tool to positively impact communities. Sports teaches lifelong lessons and creates several opportunities for people who deserve equal opportunities for success.

At Black Oak, we do not only measure impact by people filling the seats at games. What matters most to is the number of lives that our events touch, the children that are inspired to dream, the players who get to play the game they love, the numerous direct and indirect jobs that we create and the community impact projects that we embark on.
